I have had the most wonderful honour bestowed upon me, and I'm bursting with excitement and trepidation.
Do Crafts are starting to supply all their wonderful products to Australia, and I've been asked go to Australia and, amongst other things, demonstrate at the Brisbane Scrapbook and Papercrafts Expo! How exciting is that!!! This job sometimes takes up all my time, but I wouldn't have it any other way, and I thank my lucky stars to be doing a job that I love.
I fly out next Thursday and arrive in Sydney on Saturday, and then I have three days of sight seeing. apparently the hotel is right by Sydney harbour! Then the work begins, when a couple of my colleagues will join me and we travel to Brisbane.
Got lots to sort out for the trip, including card samples for the booth and then there's sorting out my luggage (I need new) and ordering dollars etc.

Wow Clare, how exciting for you! Enjoy your trip, you can always take your dvd of Doc Martin with you in case you get homesick! Have you seen his series on ITV on Islands around the UK, it was fab! It's also great news for my cousin in Perth, she struggles to get decent crafting bits so she will be thrilled when I mail her later, hugs Heidi xx

How exciting...what a wonderful job to be able to travel but also to come and visit us in Australia. Wish I was in Brisbane to go to the Papercraft show..have a wonderful time.

ReplyDeleteBeen there, done that.. Sydney is the best.. We didn't get to Brizzy when we went, but spent a lovely two months travelling around the south coast of Oz.. absolutely wonderful. You'll love it!
Bondi isn't all it's made out to be really, and make sure you go to Manly, just across the Harbour. It's a lovely place and there's a great coffee shop on the seafront!
Oh wow Clare, that's great news and I'm really jealous. I lived in Brisbane for 3 1/2 years and would love to go back as it's just gorgeous. The only downside is that it's getting into winter over there right now - but a good winters day can still be nearly 20degrees!!! Enjoy!!!! Claire xx
