I just wanted to quickly share the card that I made on Wednesday night and which preceded the photo you now see on my WOYWW 100 post. I made this Sympathy card for someone to give their friend, and although this is a card I don't particularly like making for obvious reasons I enjoyed making it as it has a feeling of sereneness about it. I LOVE this patterned paper from Pink Petticoat -it's called Grannie's Wallpaper and this particular shade is Stone. I've printed it onto white core'dinations cardstock to give a textured finish to the pattern.
Supplies: Stamps: Stampendous Agapanthus Cluster, Woodware Salutations clear stamps; Ink: Clearsnap Vivid ink in Brown; Cardstock: Coredinations in White and Brownie. Embellishments: American Crafts Ribbon solid gold grossgrain 5/8th", Anita's wide organza ribbon in white; Papermania Adhesive Stones in burnt gold; Tools: EK success punch photo labels punch;
I really hope you like it!
I'll be posting a tutorial of how I did my wall decal over the next couple of days, so keep checking back! there will also be an offer of blog candy very soon too! Thanks for stopping by and see you soon x

Beautiful card Clare! It really does have a serene feeling to it, which is just right for the occasion. You've got it just right, xx
Hi Clare, this is lovely. I agree, making sympathy cards is such a sad job to do but often produces the most beautiful, simple work. I'm sure your friend and the recipient will love it.
Thanks for your comments on my blog the other day :o)

hi Clare, gorgeous card. love the paper. How did you get the circle in each corner of the sentiment? I do love the ribbon its gorgeous nd amazing, and gives your card another dimension. Must take a look and purchase. I agree just looking at other peoples blog is costing us more money!
Also, If you do decide to set up a dedicated blog for a die cutting machine (mine is a cuttlebug) i would love to help out or apply to be part of the design team. So i can get more use out of my machine.
Hi Clare..
This is so beautiful! Sympathy cards are difficult to make but I think you have got the tone just right and I love the soft colour...Black is very harsh and I tend never to go too dark. I know it's sad to lose a loved one or friend but it should also be about celebrating their life and the release of their soul upward into the light and air. You are spot on with this one!
hi, I have launched some blog candy in aid of charity, would appreciate any shout outs, please
